Your vault is a plain SQLite file on your own machine — exportable, backed up automatically, and never locked to this app.

How it works

Every time the app starts, it copies your live vault into a timestamped backup automatically — no click required.

The most recent 10 backups are kept and rotated automatically, so a bad session never costs you more than your last save point.

Your identity documents (SSN, license, passport) live in a separate database file, excluded from routine backups by design.

Pull your full profile data out as open JSON at any time — a plain, portable format with zero vendor lock-in.

Uninstalling the app preserves your data by default. Removing it entirely is a separate, explicit opt-in during uninstall — never automatic.

This is background infrastructure, not a feature you click into — described here honestly as what it actually is, not a mocked-up screen.
