Easy Life Recorder

• It saves the file YouTube asks for. The recording is an .mp4 holding H.264 video and AAC sound, which is exactly what YouTube wants, so it goes straight up without being changed into anything else first.
• One window, four things to decide. Which screen, which microphone, where to save, and then press Record. The Record button sits in the top bar, so it is always there.
• It gets out of its own way. While it records, the window makes itself small so it is not in your video. Click Easy Life Recorder on the bar at the bottom of your screen to bring it back and press Stop.
• It records your voice, and the computer's own sound when Windows offers it. The microphone works straight away. The sound the computer itself is playing is something Windows does not always hand over, so if it is not being offered the program says so in a sentence and records your microphone on its own rather than failing.
• Thirty frames a second, or sixty. Thirty is right for a meeting or a tutorial. Sixty is for something that moves fast, and it makes a file about twice the size.
• Nothing you record leaves your computer. The recording is a file in your own folder. There is no network code in the program at all.

Easy Life Recorder is for Windows at the moment. There is no version for a phone, a Mac or Linux yet. It also does not edit video — it records, and that is all it does.
