The Presidential Policy Series

One book per decision a president actually makes

This page holds the whole series: the list of the books down the left, and the back of whichever one you pick on the right.

How to use this page — step by step

Finding a book

  • Pick a book from the list on the left, and the back of that book opens on the right.
  • The list stays on the screen while you read, so you can move from one book to the next without scrolling back up.
  • Each book has an address of its own, so the page you are looking at can be shared or saved and it will open on the same book.

Reading what is on the right

  • The box with the blue edge is the short version: what the book asks and which countries it answers from.
  • Under it is the back of the book, which is the longer description a person would read before deciding to open it.
  • Under that is the real length of the book, counted from the book that was actually built, so it cannot claim a size it does not have.

Reading the book itself

  • Use the first button to open the shelf, where every book in the series can be read.
  • Use the second button to have the book read out loud in the Reader's own voices.
  • Chaos and First Chaos are free the moment you sign up, and one more book unlocks with each subscription payment after that.

Trusting what it says

  • A program wrote every one of these books, and a program can be wrong in the same confident voice it is right in, which is why the badge at the top of this page says so plainly.
  • Every fact in every book names the published source it came from and gives the address of the page, so you never have to take the book's word for it.
  • Every opinion is marked as the author's own and kept separate from the sources, so you can tell what was found from what was argued.
